Newburg

Newburg is a small community in Phelps County set in rugged Little Piney river country, along the I-44 corridor between Fort Leonard Wood (20 miles west) and Rolla (15 miles east). It's some of the most timbered, most private ground in the county — steep hardwood ridges, hollows running cold water, and the Little Piney and Big Piney rivers threading the country nearby.

Mark Twain National Forest borders the area, so deeded tracts here often back straight up to public ground. The character is quiet and remote, with the natural assets of the Ozarks right at the property line.
